马原

1953年出生。中国当代作家、“先锋派”小说领军人物。曾赴西藏担任记者、编辑。现定居云南。主要作品有：中短篇小说《冈底斯的诱惑》《拉萨河女神》《虚构》《西海的无帆船》《喜马拉雅古歌》《拉萨生活的三种时间》《涂满古怪图案的墙壁》等，长篇小说《上下都很平坦》《牛鬼蛇神》《姑娘寨》等。马原以著名的“叙述圈套”开创了中国小说界“以形式为内容”的先河。

Ma Yuan was born in 1953. He is among one of the most well-known writers of contemporary China and a pioneer of Chinese Avant-garde Literature. Ma had lived in Lhasa for eight years and began to write fictions since then. He’s now living in Yunnan. Ma’s path-breaking short stories and novellas include: Lure of the Kailas Range, Goddess of Lhasa River, Fiction, Three kinds of Time of Life in Lhasa and novels Ghosts and Monsters, The Two Villages, etc.. He employs circular narrative and embedded storytelling to subvert conventional rules of narrative and mixes fiction with reality and illusion.
