万玛才旦

藏族，1969年生，作家、导演、翻译家。已出版藏文小说集《诱惑》《城市生活》，中文小说集《流浪歌手的梦》《嘛呢石，静静地敲》《塔洛》《乌金的牙齿》等，翻译有《西藏：讲不完的故事》《人生歌谣——德本加小说集》等。曾获第12届上海国际电影节金爵奖评委会大奖；第17届华语传媒大奖最佳导演奖；2015年，由万玛才旦自编自导的电影《塔洛》获得金马奖最佳改编剧本奖；2018年，由王家卫监制、万玛才旦自编自导的电影《撞死了一只羊》获得威尼斯电影节地平线单元最佳剧本奖。

Pema Tseden is a Tibetan director, screenwriter and literary writer. His publications include both in Tibetan and Chinese: Temptation, The Color of Death, Tharlo, Orgyan’s Teeth etc. His works have been translated into English, French, German, Japanese, Cezch and received numerous literature awards. He began his career as a director and screenwriter since 2002. Most of his films are shot in Tibetan language. His films include The Silent Holy Stones, The Search, Old Dog, Tharlo etc. His films were nominated at the Venice International Film Festival, Locarno International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and other major international film festivals. His films received Best Pictures, Best Director, Best Adapted Script Awards and over forty other domestic and international awards. His most recent feature JINPA won Best Screenplay award in the Orizzonti section at the 75^th Venice International Film.
