宁肯

1959年生于北京,小说家,散文家。1982年在上海文学杂志《萌芽》发表诗歌处女作《积雪之梦》。曾旅居西藏,创作长篇系列散文《沉默的彼岸》,系中国“新散文”运动代表作品之一。二十世纪九十年代末致力长篇小说创作,现已出版长篇小说《天•藏》《蒙面之城》《三个三重奏》《沉默之门》《环形山》。另有散文集《说吧,西藏》《北京:城与年》《我的二十世纪》。曾获老舍文学奖长篇小说奖,首届施耐庵文学奖,鲁迅文学奖。

Novelist and essayist, Ning Ken was born in 1959 in Beijing and once lived in Tibet. His first published poem “The Snowpack’s Dream,” appeared in 1982 in Mengya (Sprouts), one of the leading literary journals in China. His prose series The Silent Shore on the Opposite was among one of the landmark works in China’s Neo-Prose literary movement. Since the late 1990s, he has devoted himself to full-length novels and has published Hide in the Sky, City of Masks, Three Trios, The Gate of Silence and The Crater. Other works include Speak Tibet, Beijing: City and Time, and My Twentieth Century. Years of efforts have won him Lao She Literary Award for Outstanding Novel, the 1st Shi Nai’an Literary Prize and Lu Xun Literature Prize.
